A Memorial to Kelton Miller..
A Memorial Service for Rotarian - Kelton Miller
June, 2008

On May 10, 2008, there was a Memorial Service for Kelton Miller who had died a year earlier. Kelton was a long-time Rotarian and a devoted member of the community. These were the words that Bob Matteson spoke at the service.
"From my contacts with Kelton, reaching back some forty years, I came to see him in essences as a Gentleman" a true friend, good citizen and dedicated Rotarian.
As a friend, Kelton respected his contemporaries, honored honest effort, disdained phoniness, enjoyed good laughs, and tolerated foibles.
As a citizen, Kelton followed politics intensely, advocated an alert citizenry, undertook various civic shores, quickly spotted over-promising, and valued freedom over regimentation.
As a Rotarian, Kelton enjoyed camaraderie, performed community service, respected his peer and was loyal to his commitments.
Kelton was a down-to-earth human being. He loved his family, his home property, his dog, his fishing adventures, his community and his nation. The horn he blew was quiet and respectful, not loud and hurtful.
I greatly miss Kelton, a true Gentleman. I am glad his Memorial Service is at Southern Vermont College, an institution he loved."
