This (food crisis) threatens not only the hungry but also peace and stability," the head of the United Nations World Food Program (WPF)", Josette Sheeran, warned in a recent speech. With escalating food shortages and prices and subsequent food riots this crisis is casting an ominous shadow on world peace an stability.
